He was a pioneer in the art of karate and founded the International Karate Association (IKA).He made his international debut by performing a karate demonstration at the Ed Parker International Tournament in 1964.

he would have turned 90 years old.where he set up his karate school first in Long Beach.Two weeks prior to his passing.

He eventually taught law enforcement and military throughout the globe.living on the streets of Tokyo.

This was not long after the end of World War II and young Kubota was homeless.
Kubota passed after a long illness.and legacy businesses in our historic Little Tokyo.
